Born in Switzerland, Mattia Dagani Rio is a Swiss/Spanish visual artist whose work moves between the intertwines of masculinity, performativity and queerness, with an aura of intimacy and surrealism. Dagani Rio has approached photography as a tool of escapism from reality, seeking new means of self-revelation. His visual narratives are achieved through the use of traditional photography and CGI, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.
He's currently pursuing a master's degree in photography at ECAL in Lausanne.
