How can one depict queer sexuality? This is the question that Samuel Spreyz, an award winning photography graduate from ECAL/University of art and design Lausanne, has asked himself throughout this work. Influenced by queer writers and gay culture, Samuel explores contemporary societal topics.
His visual essays deconstruct masculinity and sexuality, depicting the daily challenges of queer communities. Samuel’s work fuses photographic genres, with striking and graphic imagery that has been featured in various publications such as OFFLINE, Novembre Magazine and WWD. He will present his newest series MSM.Rx in this year’s edition of photoSCHWEIZ.
