Since moving to Switzerland last year, I've found myself slowing down, taking more time to observe and appreciate my new home. One of the biggest differences is my proximity to the great mountains and spaces of this country. When I am in such places, I am always humbled and at peace. I've come to seek out stunning peaks and wide open valleys, finding any excuse to get out of the man-made world and into the real one. Documenting this on film heightens my appreciation for the vastness of these places, forcing me to be more present as I try to make an image of something already difficult to capture. This series serves as a collection of perspectives that give me a sense of connection to my new home, moments where the great stresses that come with change have no effect.
