Autumn Bridges in Greece.
In October/November 2021 I spent two weeks in Greece together with a friend, photographing some of the old stone bridges in the colourful autumn landscape. We drove our Jeep Renegade for more than 2600 kilometers over paved roads as well as muddy and steep mountain trails, crossing shallow rivers, to reach all of the planned 28 bridges. Zeus, the Greek god of weather, was good to us and let the rain stop whenever we arrived at a photo location. Every so often we got side-tracked by the dazzling fall colours all around us and stopped to shoot the beautiful views. Most of the pictures were shot using my trusted Nikon D850, but I also used my drone for some shots which I could not have gotten otherwise.
Here are four of the more than two thousand pictures I shot. From left to right:
Bridge of Konitsa, Bridge of Kontodimos or Lazaridis, Pyli Bridge, Kalogeriko-Plakidas Bridge.
