2018 I travelled to Japan for the first time. The unique Culture, the delicious Food and the vibrant Cities made me fall in love with the Country right away. Consequently, I decided to come back in 2019 to further explore the Cities and Culture.
Tradition and Progress both play an important Role in Japan and consequently have a major Impact on the urban Landscape: Neon Signs and Lampions, Skyscrapers and Temples, Boulevards and narrow Alleys. The selected Photographies show this variety of Seceneries and document the everyday Life of the local People. Each is presented in a horizontal - nearly panoramic - 3:2 Format.
All photographies from this series are wrapped up in the Coffee Table Book "Night Walks Japan". In Oktober 2020 a 4 Day exhibition took place in Broke.Today's up and coming Art Space at Kaufinger Tor Passage in the heart of Munich. At the same time, a collaboration with S.A.M. - one of Munich's most popular Japanese Restaurants - started showing some of my Work as Billboard sized Prints in all of the Restaurants.
