Southern Madagascar
"When the wells with drinking water have dried up, we have no choice
left to drink the salt water”
Rising temperatures and several consecutive years of insufficient rainfall in the south of Madagascar have contributed to one of the worst droughts in its history and a growing situation of food insecurity across communities.
1.5 million people starve in Madagascar.
Malnutrition among children is expected to quadruple in the coming months as drought worsens.
