With his series "Landscapes", Patrick Lambertz studies Landscape photography from a romantic angle. He mostly captures mountains and valleys bathed in impressive light, reminiscent of masters of landscape portraiture like Anthony Vandyke Copley Fielding, Peter Graham and Albert Bierstadt. The large format panoramic prints literally draw the viewer into the picture and force to study the details of the environment. The study of topographies plays a central role in Lambertz' works, like in his famous series "Châlets of Switzerland".
